Selene Castrovilla, author of Careless Whistle
Selene Castrovilla is an award-winning nonfiction and fiction author dedicated to uncovering hidden truths about both our nation’s history and ourselves. Her children’s books about American history are used in classrooms around the country to connect young readers with the hearts and minds of the amazing people who built our nation. Her young adult and women’s fiction have been heralded for their unyielding truths and raw emotions. Most recently she has delved into self-help, at the request of fans who love her insights on life. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from The New School and a BA in English from New York University. A mother of two grown sons, Selene lives on a swan-inhabited Long Island lagoon in a purple house with cats and one humongous dog.
